Markham LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 Workshop (Ages 8-12)

The introductory workshop provides students with an introduction to our full programs (8 sessions which are 2.0 hours long). This workshop is perfect for students and parents who would like to learn more about our programs or give it a try before committing to the entire program.  The workshop is available from 10 AM to 12 PM or 12 PM to 2 PM on Sundays. 

LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3provides an introduction to robotics for students with no programming background using theLEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 educational kits. Students will construct, program and control robots through investigative and exploration activities. Additionally, they will be encouraged to seek information and their research activities will expose them to the engineering process. They will be introduced to concepts such as coding, looping, decision making and flow control as they utilize the visual drag and drop programming interface. Students will discover the projects that offer challenging designs and levels of complexity.

The hands-on sessions demonstrate how robots can be applied to problem solving and collaborative learning within a curriculum context and foster a differentiated approach to learning whilst enhancing the integration of robotics into the classroom.
