Mississauga Summer Week 3: Arduino (Ages 9-17)

Robotics Summer Camp Week 3 will run from Monday July 17th, 2017 to Friday July 21st, 2017 from 9 AM to 4 PM. 

During the week, students will experience robots, arts and sports activities. There will be field trip opportunities available at an additional cost.
*Advanced and alternative STEM-based robotics curricula are available for returning students. 

Pricing for Robotics Summer Camp will be as follows:

  • $149.99 +HST until Friday March 31st, 2017
  • $199.99 +HST until Sunday April 30th, 2017
  • $249.99 +HST from Monday May 1st, 2017 to Thursday August 31st, 2017
  • If parents wish to drop off students earlier than 9 AM or pick up students later than 4 PM, the additional charge will be $5 per hour.
  • Discounts are available for a group registration (3 or more students) and if a student choose to register for multiple weeks. Please contact us for more information.

 

ARDUINO

The Arduino programming and hardware language provides students with a simple and accessible user experience and introduces students to multiple new projects of various levels of complexity. Arduino is an open-source prototyping platform which can read inputs and turn the inputs into outputs. Students will have access to everything required to complete 16 circuits which will teach students to read sensors, display information on an LCD, drive motors and more.  Students will learn how to connect each circuit with the included parts. This kit allows students to explore independent thinking by utilizing the example code and troubleshooting tips. The kit does not require soldering, and students are not required to have previous programming or electronics.

  • Circuit 3: Driving and RGB LED
  • Circuit 4: Driving Multiple LEDs
  • Circuit 5: Push Buttons

  • Circuit 8: Driving a Servo Motor
  • Circuit 9: Using a Flex Sensor
  • Circuit 10: Reading a Soft Potentiometer

  • Circuit 12: Driving a Motor
