Experience the LEGO® Renewal Energy and Pneumatics program during Robotics Summer Camp! Students will spend the week building and programming robots, and experience additional arts activities as we transition from STEM-based learning to STEAM-based learning. There will be field trip options allowing students to understand the real world applications of STEM!

At IRIS, we provide students with educational STEM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning programs using LEGO Robotics technology!   The camp structure will provide students with the time and resources required to work with their peers, create complex designs and participate in challenges and activities. Students will explore STEM topics beyond the classroom, create real world applications and discover the countless career opportunities in related fields.

The renewal energy educational set introduces students to renewable energy sources and allows students to explore sources such as solar energy, wind energy and hydro energy. Students will learn about the functionality and capability of solar cells, wind turbines and hydro-electric plants. Through multiple activities students will use solar panels, turbine blades, motors, generator, LED lights and extension wires. The activities will further prompt students to investigate  and analyze concepts such as energy supply, transfer, accumulation, conversion and consumption. 

The pneumatics educational set allows students to explore five principal models and four pneumatics models. Students will be introduced to concepts such as pumps, tubes, cylinders, valves, air tanks and manometers. Students can work through activities and relate to real life examples as they investigate power systems, pressure, energy sources and use measures and data analysis to examine their findings.
