The introductory workshop provides students with an introduction to our full programs (8 sessions which are 1.5 hours long). This workshop is perfect for students and parents who would like to learn more about our programs or give it a try before committing to the entire program.  The workshop is available from 10 AM to 12 PM or 12 PM to 2 PM on Saturdays or Sundays. 

The LEGO® WeDo™ ROBOTICS is a tethered robotics system designed to serve as an intermediate step between the more fully featured robotics platform and regular, non-robotic LEGO®. It’s an easy-to-use set that introduces young students to robotics and teach them to build LEGO® models featuring working motors and sensors; program their models; and explore a series of cross-curricular, theme-based activities while developing their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, as well as language and literacy. The hands-on sessions demonstrate how robots can be applied to problem solving and collaborative learning within a curriculum context and foster a differentiated approach to learning whilst enhancing the integration of robotics into the classroom.

Additionally, they will be encouraged to seek information and their research activities will expose them to the engineering process. They will be introduced to concepts such as coding, looping, decision making and flow control as they utilize the visual drag and drop programming interface. Students will discover the projects that offer challenging designs and levels of complexity.

Robotics Summer Camp

Experience the The LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 program during Robotics Summer Camp! Students will spend the week building and programming robots, and experience additional arts and sports activities. There will also be field trip opportunities available for students at an additional cost. 

At IRIS, we provide students with educational STEM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning programs using LEGO Robotics technology!   The camp structure will provide students with the time and resources required to work with their peers, create complex designs and participate in challenges and activities. Students will explore STEM topics beyond the classroom, create real world applications and discover the countless career opportunities in related fields. 

VEX IQ is a robotics system designed to offer young students an inclusive introduction to STEM. The system encourages students to work together and exercise their creativity, problem solving and leadership skills through teamwork-driven activities.
