Course Overview:
An automated vehicle is driverless or more popularly known as an autonomous vehicle, which is capable of taking full control of the driving activity and navigating on its own without any form of human input. This concept was more of a science fiction few years ago but has become a reality in today’s world.
At IRIS you will learn to create a Self-Driving Car powered by Arduino R-3 Development Board and a L293D Motor Shield. It uses the data given by the HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor which is connected to analog pins of the Arduino board.
Arduino boards are most commonly used in robotics and play a major role in the design and functioning of autonomous vehicles. They receive inputs from various sensors mounted on the vehicle and converts them into actions by actuating and controlling various functions to perform the driving tasks.
At IRIS students will learn how to program and make different kinds of robots that do different actions in a robotics class. They will make their own Arduino car that can sense things in front of it avoiding the obstacle while LED lights are flashing.
