Course Overview
The importance of electricity in our everyday lives cannot be overstated. From smartphones to water heaters, from electric cars to the frozen food aisle at the grocery store, electric power and electronic devices encompass every facet of our civilization. This course is aimed at kids who will learn the fundamentals of electricity from scratch.
Throughout the course, students will get introduced to the theoretical concepts of electricity and know what electricity is and how it works. They will get introduced to electricity’s core components such as current, resistance, voltage, and electrons and learn how these components work in different electrical projects. They will then learn about magnetism and how magnets and electricity make objects move. As part of this, students will build a motor by themselves and understand how the theoretical concept of electricity and magnet is related to this. All these theoretical concepts will be accompanied by hands-on small fun projects that will give them a thorough understanding of all the theoretical concepts.
This course aims to raise kids’ curiosity regarding electricity, and we will do it by gradually adding more and more refinements to the study. Students need to have access to a computer or mobile to attend the online course, and a list of equipment for doing all the projects will be provided to them.
