WRO 2023 Team (IRIS Canada)

World Robot Olympiad (WRO)

The World Robot Olympiad (WRO) is an international robotics competition gathering students, from over 50 countries. Year after year, nearly 20,000 teams compete in their home country to be selected for the WRO international final. Teams composed of 2-3 students and assisted by a Coach develop their creative and problem solving skills through robotics challenges. Except for the Advanced Robotics category, WRO challenges are to be solved using mainly LEGO components. During the competition, a surprise rule is announced to the teams so they can access bonus points, adding thrill to the challenges.

Zone01 Robotics is the WRO National Organizer for Canada. In January of every year, Zone01 Robotics publishes a modified version of the WRO challenges, adjusted so they can be solved in time for the regional events. Canada is the country where the national final takes place at the earliest date (among all WRO participating countries).

This year WRO Zone 01 Toronto competition will take place on April 2023, for which you can enroll your child in Team IRIS, if you want your child to have the opportunity to learn, compete, lead and win in a challenging and exciting platform. When a child enrolls for Robotics Competitions, they get hours of opportunities to practice, team-build & bond, innovate, gain knowledge & confidence to brace the challenge of a diversified multi-talented platform. Robotics Competitions  give children the confidence to present and communicate in front of the judges within a time-bound frame, which makes them learn and prepare to display own creativity and spontaneity in a open forum where they can stand against so many other schools and their kids, which in turn boosts their self-esteem and courage, assisting them further in their future lives.

Each team will be composed of 2-3 team members (students) who will be trained and assisted by a Coach.
