On your next PA DAY join us for our PA DAY FUN DAY Workshop! Spend your PA Day from 9 AM to 12PM (Half Day Session) and 9AM to 4PM (Full Day Session), building and programming robots!
During the PA DAY workshop, students will have the opportunity to build and program multiple robots of different sizes and complexity. Students will be introduced to our STEM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) learning programs using robot technology! Our hands-on approach allows students to exercise their problem-solving skills while working in an atmosphere of creativity and teamwork. Students will explore STEM-based topics beyond the classroom, create real world applications and discover the countless career opportunities in related fields.
Students can choose between the following workshops:
LEGO® WeDo™ ROBOTICS (AGES 4-8)
The LEGO® WeDo™ ROBOTICS program is specifically designed as an intermediate step between the more fully featured robotics platform and regular, non-robotic LEGO. Students will be working with gears, pulleys, motors and sensors to construct, program and control robots.
LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 (AGES 9-17)
LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 is designed for those with no programming background and introduces students to concepts such as coding, looping, decision making and flow control as they utilize the visual drag and drop programming interface.
VEX IQ ROBOTICS (AGES 9-17)
VEX IQ set allows students to explore multiple robots; students will be excited about the flexibility and personalization offered by the VEX IQ kits. Once you are done building, get ready to program, VEX IQ offers both autonomous and driver control and acts as a great stepping stone for students interested in programming!
ARDUINO PROGRAMMING (AGES 9-17)
The Arduino programming and hardware language provides students with a simple and accessible user experience and introduces students to multiple new projects of various levels of complexity. Arduino is an open-source prototyping platform which can read inputs and turn the inputs into outputs.
3D PRINTING PROGRAMMING (AGES 9-17)
The 3D printing is designed to teach the students the process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file. The creation of a 3D printed object is achieved using additive processes.
